CHARLOTTE LUCAS

The Girls that Walk Down the Street

There are girls that move like a spring,

that jump and twirl like the waves

of a fountain in the middle of a mall.

But they fiddle with their hair,

scrunch their mouth of rosy chalk

and wonder if they are even the froth.
